TIPS FROM THE HELP DESK:

  1. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE NEW FORTINET ANTIVIRUS ON YOUR COMPUTER! CALL THE HELP DESK TO PUT THE NEW ONE ON YOUR COMPUTER. 
  2. BEFORE CALLING ABOUT YOUR PRINTER CONNECTION YOU WILL NEED THE ADDRESS OFF OF THE PRINTER. IF IT IS NOT ON THE FRONT SCREEN THEN GO TO THE PRINTER, SCROLL THROUGH TO MENU, THEN TO NETWORK CONFIGURATION/SETUP OR CONFIGURATION AND PRINT THIS PAGE. 

ALWAYS UPDATE YOUR CHROMEBOOK! GO TO THE THREE DOTS TOP RIGHT CORNER OF THE BROWSER. SCROLL DOWN TO SETTINGS, IN THIS WINDOW LOOK TO THE LEFT OF PAGE AND CLICK ON THE THREE LINES. SCROLL DOWN TO ABOUT CHROME. ON THIS PAGE CLICK ON CHECK FOR UPDATES.

~IN THIS SEARCH RESULTS YOU WILL SEE "WINDOWS UPDATE SETTINGS" CLICK IT
~IN THIS WINDOW CLICK ON "CHECK FOR UPDATES" AND THEN INSTALL

(FOR THE GRADUATING 6TH GRADE 2018 - 2019 CLASS - HERE ARE THE STEPS TO REMOVE YOUR CHROMEBOOK FROM THE VESD MANAGEMENT AFTER
JUNE 17 TH, 2019:)

Keyboard

  1. Press ESC, refresh, and power all together --- hold for 3 seconds.
  2. When the “Chrome OS is missing” screen comes on click CTRL and D for 3 seconds and then let go.
  3. On the next 3 screens follow the directions.
  4. When the WiFi window comes on you have to log into your home wifi.
  5. Use your child’s personal GMail to log into the Chromebook. Do not use the vesd.net email.

If the above did not remove the VESD management try this:

  1. ESC, refresh, and power all together--- hold for 3 seconds.
  2. When the “Chrome OS” screen comes on click CTRL and D at the same time.
  3. This next window push Enter.
  4. This next window push CTRL D again and let it go into Developer Mode. This will completely erase all logins and information.
