PBIS At Park View Preparatory
Park View Prep is proud to be a Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) school. We began this journey in 2012, as our staff came to consensus on the initiative to improve our school climate. PBIS is a framework for schools to work together to form behavioral expectations for students, increase the efficiency of disciplinary systems, and use data for decision making. Our teaching staff, classified personnel, and proctors are committed to providing the best education possible for every child, and our PBIS is an essential pillar to this collective vision.
What are PAWS?
Monthly Behavior Focus: Excellence in the MPR
This month at PVP, students are expected to show PAWS in the classroom on a daily basis. Those students which choose to behave in a positive, productive way and show their PAWS (Pride, Attitude, Work Ethic, and Safety) consistently in the MPR this month will be invited to our first behavior celebration of the year- our school wide Movie Day! Students will be treated to a movie in the MPR if they do not have any major behavior incidents and/or up to two minor incidents in the multi-purpose room. Show those PAWS kids!
Show Your PAWS
At Park View Prep, we not only have high expectations for our academic program, but our student behavior as well. 21st Century learners must have Life-to-Career Skills to succeed in the world of work. Park View Panthers are expected to show their PAWS- Pride, Attitude, Work Ethic, and Safety- on a daily basis. Students which show their PAWS can earn:
- School-Wide Behavior Assemblies
- Lunch with the Principal
- Weekly Recognition During School Announcements
- Classroom Rewards
- Stunts from the Principal
