Victor Elementary School District offers health and welfare benefits to all eligible employees. Our goal is to provide resources to keep you informed so that you may utilize the plan benefits to their fullest potential.

•   Best Doctors Service is discontinued effective 7/1/2020
The High Desert Inland Employee Employer Trust (HDIEET) did not renew the contract with Best Doctors for the 2020-2021 Fiscal Year.  This was a free medical second opinion service that was available to employees enrolled in a district medical plan.

Open Enrollment was May 1, 2020 through May 22, 2020
Insurance changes made during Open Enrollment become effective July 1, 2020.  New medical ID cards are being mailed the last week in June.  If you haven't received your new ID cards by July 1st contact your medical provider directly.  If you need to schedule an appointment and haven't received your card, you may call your provider to obtain your medical ID number or you may register online directly with your provider using your SSN to access an electronic copy of your ID card.

•   2020/2021  Part Time Classified Employee Insurance Costs

•   New Retirees  will be transferred to the retiree group the first of the month following the month in which you retire.  You will receive new medical and dental insurance ID cards (if you opted to purchase dental insurance).  Contact health insurance providers directly if you have not received ID cards.  VSP Does not issue ID cards.  

  Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Aetna offers an employee assistance program (EAP) for anyone who is enrolled in a district medical plan with Aetna or Kaiser.  An EAP is designed to assist employees by providing resources such as counseling services, legal services, financial services and a variety of the other work life resources.  This is a free and confidential services available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Adding a Dependent?
Changes that involve adding dependents due to marriage, birth, or adoption of a child, must be reported within 30 days of the event. A marriage or birth certificate is required when adding a dependent to the insurance.
