Welcome to the Victor Elementary School District!
At VESD, we are dedicated to ensuring our students receive a top-notch education at each of our 18 school sites.
We prioritize literacy through the professional development of our staff. Both classified and certificated staff members are well-trained and committed to providing exceptional support and instruction.
Our efforts are reflected in our steady and sustained improvement in student achievement. According to CAASPP, the annual assessment used in California to measure student progress in grades 3-6, we have seen remarkable growth over the last two years. Reading scores have increased by 7 points, and math scores have improved by 14 points.
We also offer extended learning opportunities through daily programs before and after school. These programs provide homework support, engage students in visual and performing arts, and offer targeted reading intervention.
In addition to academic growth, we have focused on increasing daily attendance and enhancing student support. Our leadership and social-emotional initiatives, including counseling, have contributed to a more supportive and nurturing environment for our students.
VESD seeks involvement from our staff, parents, and community through our six ongoing LCAP committees. These committees play an integral part in determining actions and services in our annual planning. Currently, we have an African American Engagement Committee, Budget Committee, District English Language Advisory Committee, District/Parent Advisory Committee, Foster Youth Committee, and Quality Works. Our committee members are dedicated individuals who have a deep understanding of the work and provide feedback to foster success and ongoing improvement.
There are many other opportunities for our educational partners to get involved in VESD. If you are interested, please feel free to contact a school site or our district office.
We take great pride in our progress and remain committed to the continued success and well-being of our students. We thank you for your support and look forward to working with you to provide the best education for our students.
