Welcome to Victor Elementary School District—Where Students Come First

At VESD, our aim is simple: to provide every student with a high-quality education in a safe, supportive environment. Across our 18 school sites, our work is guided by the goals in our Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP), which focus on:

  • Academic Growth – Supporting all students in making progress in reading and math, while helping English Learners build strong English language skills.

  • Social-Emotional Support – Nurturing student confidence, connection, and well-being.

  • Family & Community Engagement – Strengthening communication and encouraging active participation in school and district programs.

A Community Voice
We believe that student success is a shared responsibility. Our six LCAP advisory committees—African American Engagement Committee, Budget Committee, District English Learner Acquisition Council, Parent Advisory Committee, Foster Youth, and Quality Works—give parents and community members a voice in shaping district goals and strategies. We welcome your participation.

A Focus on Literacy
Literacy is at the heart of our academic work. Every VESD teacher completes 87 hours of training to earn a district Reading Certificate, ensuring students receive consistent, high-quality reading instruction. As a result, we’re proud to see continued growth in student achievement.

Supporting the Whole Child
We’re also focused on building strong attendance habits, expanding before- and after-school opportunities, and making sure students have the emotional support they need to thrive. Programs include homework help, reading support, arts enrichment, and more.

Get Involved
We invite you to be an active part of our school community—whether by joining a committee, volunteering, or staying informed through your child’s school. Your involvement makes a difference.

Thank you for being a valued part of the VESD family. Together, we’re creating a strong foundation for every student’s future.
