Medical Plans for VETA Bargaining Unit Members are provided through Self-Insured Schools of California (SISC). Plan options include Blue Shield PPO, Blue Shield HMO and Kaiser HMO with effective dates of October 1st through September 30th. Benefit Summaries and resources are available on this site.

Qualifying Event Changes - Adding or Dropping a Spouse or Dependent(s)
Changes that involve adding dependents due to marriage, birth, or adoption of a child, must be reported within 30 days of the event. A marriage or birth certificate is required when adding a dependent to the insurance.
Optional Voluntary Insurance Plans
Enrollment, cancellation or changes to these plans can be made during the annual open enrollment period held in early May for a July 1st effective date.
