SUN Bucks

California’s Summer EBT program, known as SUN Bucks, is returning in 2025. Families receive $40/month for June, July, and August ($120 total) when children don’t have access to school meals.
Who qualifies?
- Most children eligible for free or reduced-price school meals (via school meal or Universal Benefits Application).
- Children who get CalFresh, CalWORKs, and/or Medi-Cal (automatic, if certified at/below 185% FPL).
- Children in foster care or identified as experiencing homelessness (automatic).
Some children may need to sign up.
